——燙乳。

所謂“燙乳（breast ironing）“,，就是在女孩年齡尚小,、胸部剛開始發(fā)育時，用燒得滾燙的石頭甚至鐵棒來燙女孩的胸部,，硬生生將乳房燙平,。

極其殘忍。

據(jù)估計(jì),，“燙乳”遍布世界,，尤其是西非地區(qū)。被這種陋習(xí)傷害的女孩多達(dá)380萬……

According to UN estimates,， up to 3.8 million girls worldwide are affected,。 Breast ironing is particularly widespread in the West African nations of Cameroon， Guinea-Bissau,， Chad,， Togo and Benin,。

據(jù)聯(lián)合國估計(jì)，全世界有380萬女孩被“燙乳”所影響,。它在西非國家喀麥隆,、幾內(nèi)亞比紹、乍得,、多哥和貝寧尤為普遍,。

“In Cameroon， up to 50 percent of girls as young as ten years old undergo terribly painful breast ironing on a daily basis,，” the organisation says,。

而在英國,，一些其他地區(qū)（尤其西非）的移民后代,，即使從小接受英國的教育，仍然難逃被燙乳的噩運(yùn),。

齊娜亞（Kinaya）就是一個來自西非,、住在英國的女孩。這不是她的真名,。

齊娜亞10歲時,，便被母親強(qiáng)迫著進(jìn)行了燙乳。母親給出的理由十分怪異——

She said her mother told her that “if I don‘t iron them,， men will start coming to you,， to have sex with you”,。

齊娜亞說,，母親告訴她：“如果我不燙你的乳房，就會有男人開始來找你,，跟你上床,?！?/p>

It is often the child‘s mother who will undertake the breast ironing， which usually involves heating a stone or spoon on a flame then pressing,， massaging or flattening the breast,。 This can go on for months。

燙乳一事通常由女孩們的母親來做,。她們把石頭或勺子放在火上加熱,，之后用這些器具擠壓、按摩或燙平乳房,。燙乳的過程可能會持續(xù)數(shù)月,。

還有一個在英國的母親，介紹了她給女兒燙乳的過程：

One woman living in the suburbs of an English city told the Guardian how she went about ironing her daughter’s chest at the first sign of puberty,。

一名住在英格蘭郊區(qū)的婦女告訴《衛(wèi)報》,，她是如何在女兒青春期的第一個跡象出現(xiàn)（指胸部開始發(fā)育）時去燙她乳房的。

“I took the stone,， I warmed it,， and then I started massaging [my daughter’s chest]，” she said,。 “And the stone was a little bit hot,。 When I started massaging， she said： ‘Mummy,， it’s hot,！’”

在BBC的報道中，有個在英國的女孩表示,，從小就被燙乳的她,，本以為所有的女性都得如此。

但一次體育課后,，這個發(fā)現(xiàn)了“真相”的女孩,，在震驚過后變得愈加孤僻……

One woman told the Victoria Derbyshire programme she only realised breast ironing was not normal when she discovered her body looked different to her classmates during a PE class at her UK school， which led her to become distressed,。

一名女子告訴節(jié)目組,，直到她在英國學(xué)校上體育課、發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的身材和同學(xué)們不一樣時,，她才意識到燙乳是不正常的,。這讓她十分沮喪。

Her sister had breast ironed her from age eight,， but her teachers failed to notice when she became withdrawn and stopped wanting to take part in PE lessons,。

她姐姐從她8歲起就開始給她燙乳。但她的老師也沒有注意到,，這個女孩變得孤僻起來，也不再想上體育課了,。

這還不是最痛苦的。

等好不容易挨過了敏感纖細(xì)的青春期,、到了結(jié)婚生子的時候,，這些被燙過乳房的女孩們開始嘗到了另一種折磨：

Like many young girls,， Simone was also made to wear an extremely tight strap around her chest to suppress them even more - which caused her difficulty breathing,。

和很多年幼的女孩一樣,，西蒙被迫穿著特別緊身的裹胸，從而讓胸部變得更平——可這種裹胸會讓人難以呼吸,。

A few years later， when she had a baby to the man she was forced to marry,， the long-term damage became apparent。

幾年后,，西蒙被迫嫁給了一個男人，還生了個孩子,。這時，燙乳的長期危害就開始明顯了起來,。

“When it comes to breast feeding， it‘s so strenuous,， like there’s a knot inside，” she explained,。 “It seemed like maybe some of the nerves were destroyed?！?/p>

“喂奶時特別費(fèi)力，就像是乳房打了結(jié)似的,。”她說,?！案杏X像是一些神經(jīng)已經(jīng)被毀掉了?！?/p>

燙乳,，是一種針對女性的“割禮”,。而“割禮”陋習(xí)還有很多種其他的表現(xiàn)形式,，每一種都愚昧而殘忍,。

很難想象,，在現(xiàn)代社會——甚至是身為西方發(fā)達(dá)國家的英國——也存在如此落后怪誕的陋習(xí),，殘害著一個又一個年幼的女孩,，將她們?nèi)缁ǖ纳稽c(diǎn)點(diǎn)摧毀,。

據(jù)悉，英國一些公益組織已在呼吁學(xué)校和社會對“燙乳”進(jìn)行干預(yù),。

希望更多的人能知道：用燙平乳房甚至割掉一部分性器官的方法來防止女孩被“騷擾”,，是多么荒謬而愚蠢的邏輯,。

希望這些對于女童的折磨與殘害，能夠在這個地球上消失,。
