當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間4月21日,，CNBC表示美國只會開展針對華為的攻擊,，在建設(shè)下一代5G網(wǎng)絡(luò)的上毫頭緒。

專家認(rèn)為,，美國缺乏一個(gè)清晰的5G戰(zhàn)略,，結(jié)果就只能搬出“所謂的國家安全”來對抗來自華為和中國的挑戰(zhàn)。

“I think they’ve been rather leaden-footed in the way they’ve responded,” Nigel Inkster, a former British intelligence official and senior advisor at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, told CNBC’s Beyond the Valley.

為什么美國會如此害怕華為呢?很大程度上美國自身的5G發(fā)展令人失望,。

Last week, Trump introduced initiatives to speed up the rollout of new wireless networks across the U.S., saying “the race to 5G is a race America must win.”

美國總統(tǒng)特朗普日前稱,，5G是一場美國“必須贏得勝利”的競賽。

“The race to 5G is on and America must win,” Trump said, noting that 92 5G markets will be ready by the end of the year, outpacing South Korea, which is on pace to have 48 markets live by the end of 2019.

特朗普在講話中稱,，美國計(jì)劃在年底前在92個(gè)市場推出5G網(wǎng)絡(luò),，超過韓國的48個(gè)市場的計(jì)劃，成為世界第一,。

“It’s a race our great companies are now involved in,” Trump said. “According to some estimates, the wireless industry plans to invest $275 billion in 5G networks, creating 3 million American jobs quickly, and adding $500 billion to our economy.”

In his speech last week, Trump emphasized that the private sector needs to lead the way in building 5G networks across the United States. Mobile operators including Verizon and AT&T have started rolling out the networks in select cities, with limited success so far.
