第73屆聯(lián)合國大會防治結(jié)核病問題高級別會議26日在紐約舉行,。

彭麗媛和現(xiàn)場參會者分享了擔(dān)任世界衛(wèi)生組織結(jié)核病和艾滋病防治親善大使和中國結(jié)核病防治形象大使十多年來的經(jīng)歷和感受,，介紹了中國結(jié)核病防治工作人員和義務(wù)宣傳員們扎根基層,、默默無聞,、無私奉獻的感人事跡。

Dear friends, I am Peng Liyuan, the WHO Goodwill Ambassador for TB and HIV/AIDS. Congratulations on this High-Level Meeting, and greetings to you all!

親愛的朋友們,，我是世界衛(wèi)生組織結(jié)核病和艾滋病防治親善大使彭麗媛,。祝賀本次高級別會議的召開，并向大家問好,。

I became China’s Ambassador for TB in 2007, and the Goodwill Ambassador in 2011. It is a mission and responsibility I cherish dearly. For more than ten years, every year on March 24th, I’ve visited communities with high TB prevalence to help raise awareness, change behavior and encourage actions.

我在2007年成為中國結(jié)核病防治形象大使,，在2011年成為親善大使。這是我珍視的使命和責(zé)任,。十多年來,，每年的3月24日，我都會走訪結(jié)核病高發(fā)的社區(qū),，以提高人們的認識,，改變行為，鼓勵人們采取行動,。

This year, I went to Hubei in central China. I shared with teenage students important TB-related knowledge, and ways to lead a healthy lifestyle and taught young children the importance of good personal hygiene. In a local village, I met a fully-recovered patient. I encouraged him to become a TB campaigner himself, so that he can share his experience of fighting the disease with more people.
